Father’s Day is here, and HEYDUDE released the ultimate dad shoe: The HEYDUDE Stride-S. The Stride-S is the result of a brilliant partnership between HEYDUDE and legendary footwear creator Steven Smith. Steven Smith, a 40-year design veteran, is called the ‘Godfather of the Dad Shoe.” It’s easy to see why HEYDUDE wanted him to design the Stride-S because the shoe is incredible.
HEYDUDE utilized an array of comfort technology to make the Stride-S an incredible sneaker. EVERCOMF midsoles provide low compression, high resilience, and high rebound foam for added energy return and bounce. The HEYCOMF EXP foam insole delivers anatomical fit and superior arch support for long-lasting comfort. The HEYGRIP+ rubber outsole grants the sneakers superb traction and added durability. Collectively, these parts provide dads with comfortable support no matter the activity.
The Stride-S is available in only one colorway, which consists of shades of white and gray. Neutral colors are a dad shoe staple, but the colors serve another purpose. As a casual sneaker, the Stride-S’ neutral colorway pairs well with a variety of looks from athletic to casual, to even semi-casual. Moreover, the sneakers are wearable with polos and shorts, white dress shirts and jeans, and athletic gear. The versatility of these sneakers makes them any dad’s go-to daily drivers.
Versatility goes hand in hand with availability, and HEYDUDE made the Stride-S inclusive with a range of sizes. The ultimate dad shoe is available in 12 men’s sizes from size 7 to 15. That’s a shoe for every dad of any size! Interestingly, many HEYDUDE styles only come in full sizes, but the Stride-S is available in half sizes.
The Stride S stands as HEYDUDE’s most expensive sneaker to date at $99. However, the considerable cost isn’t simply because Steven Smith’s name is attached. The price stems from the combination of high-quality materials, comfort technology, and impeccable design that went into the shoe. We tested out a pair, and the Stride-S lives up to the hype as an insanely comfortable sneaker. Moreover, the price of the Stride-S is tens of dollars or more lower than comparable shoes.
Steven Smith expressed great excitement when he talked with Stylepox about this HEYDUDE collaboration. He loves his work as Head of Innovation at Crocs Inc, HEYDUDE’s parent company, but the HEYDUDE Stride-S provided Steven with a special outlet to get back to his sneaker roots. Moreover, the Stride-S is a stride in a new direction for HEYDUDE as a chunky sneaker. Other HEYDUDE sneaker iterations are more akin to runner or casual sneakers, like their Sirocco, Paul, and Wally sneakers.
At this point in time, the Stride-S is only available on the official HEYDUDE website. As of June 23rd, the sneakers are sold out but are expected to be in stock again soon.
