8 Fashion AAPI Influencers With Incredible Style

Date:

Asian Americans make up one of the lowest population groups in the United States at around 7.4%. It can be challenging for members of such a small minority group to navigate the complex nature of American beauty standards, given the significant influence that larger groups have on the culture. Fortunately, there are many AAPI (Asian-American and Pacific Islander) influencers who provide solace, representation, and encouragement for members of the community.

The Stylepox team is observing AAPI Heritage Month this year by showcasing fashionable influencers and creators from the AAPI community. The content creators we picked have incredible style and are just the tip of the iceberg of the AAPI fashion diaspora. We hope you enjoy these 8 fashion AAPI influencers whose style content has a positive impact on the community, with some needing a touch more recognition for their content and efforts.

Jessica’s claim to fame is with stunning makeup tutorials, engaging GRWMs, and in-depth product reviews. She is an international star and has surpassed well over 3 million followers on social media platforms. Although she’s naturally pretty, she’s open and honest about her jaw Botox and lip filler usage. It’s refreshing that such an influential creator doesn’t hide her procedures, especially as so many girls and women admire her beauty, her makeup prowess, and try to replicate her looks.

Yoonie (known better as yoon_ie) is the queen of sustainable fashion. She’s not necessarily a model for sustainable fashion, but she repairs vintage and second-hand apparel. As the daughter of a cobbler and tailor, she learned the ins and outs of repairing clothing and accessories. The Korean-American influencer utilizes that knowledge to create appealing DIY videos of vintage and second-hand apparel (mostly Coach bags) repairs. Her content is educational because she shows and details the tools to use for a specific job. Moreover, her videos have a lovely ASMR aesthetic since she uses her soft voice and the clicks, zips, and snips of her process to attract audiences.
